Susanne Bergquist, M.Sc., is a Senior Principal Environmental Consultant based in Sweden with more than 21 years of international experience focused on environmental due diligence, environmental strategic advising, and project management. Susanne is the Managing Director of Geosyntec Consultants AB.

Because she is known as a leading mergers and acquisitions (M&A) consultant in the European market, private equity funds, investment banks, financial institutions, law firms, and multinational corporations turn to Susanne for environmental due diligence services. She leads cross-border multiple-asset environmental reviews in connection to acquisitions, financing, and divestments for a broad range industrial companies and real estate assets in more than 50 countries. She has managed several hundred complex international due diligence projects and has worked for major multinational corporations in the engineering, building materials, pulp and paper, telecom, oil & gas, and steel industries, as well as for national and multinational investment banks, private equity firms, buy-out funds, and law firms.

In addition, Susanne advises clients on environmental financial exposure and environmental liability management, including financial valuation methods and SPA advising. Her post-transaction work includes investigation, remediation, asset exit programs, and operational improvements. She frequently presents at training courses related to environmental due diligence, environmental liability exposure management, environmental financial exposures within the context of M&A, and financial reporting.
