Malin Ekåsen, M.Sc.

Malin Ekåsen, M.Sc., is a Senior Project Manager and Environmental Engineer with more than 15 years of experience as an environmental consultant. Malin expertly manages large projects related to contaminated land and the decommissioning and demolishing of large industrial sites. In addition, she has significant experience in construction engineering. Malin mainly works as a senior Project Manager and senior assessor in projects related to investigation and remediation of contaminated land and closure of industrial plants.

Malin also assists clients with the decommissioning of large industrial sites/plants. In these projects, Malin oversees the planning of sampling programs, conducts field surveys, prepares necessary documents for authorities, prepares tender documents for future contracts, and exercises environmental control during ongoing contracts. In her work for decommissioning assignments, she is responsible for contact with authorities and manages necessary permits and compliance with environmental control programs.

Her extensive experience supporting work at contaminated buildings, includes conducting investigations, writing tenders, establishing sampling programs, and interpreting results from completed investigations. In this role, she also handles remediation action plans, permits, and all requisite documentation.

In addition to her consulting work, Malin is responsible for the Swedish Geotechnical Society (SGF) course regarding contaminated buildings.
